Do Faraday bags work?
Short answer: yes — but not all of them.
If you’ve been looking for a Faraday bag in the UK, you’ve probably noticed how inconsistent the market is. Many products make big claims, but offer little evidence of how well they actually block signals.
That’s exactly why we added GoDark® to the Caseva range.
GoDark is a Canadian manufacturer already supplying government, law enforcement, and military organisations internationally. After reviewing their testing and build quality, it was clear these weren’t typical consumer-grade products.
As the authorised UK distributor, we maintain a dedicated stock of GoDark products for rapid UK dispatch.
What is a Faraday bag — and do you actually need one?
A Faraday bag blocks all wireless signals to and from a device inside it.
No GPS. No mobile signal. No WiFi. No Bluetooth.
The most understood real-world use? Preventing keyless car theft.
The fix is simple: put your keys in a signal-blocking pouch. No signal = nothing to relay.
Any GoDark bag will do this — you don’t need a dedicated key pouch. Beyond keyless car theft, GoDark bags are also used to:
- Protect sensitive data on devices
- Prevent tracking or remote access
- Secure digital evidence

Why roll-top, not Velcro
Most budget Faraday pouches rely on a Velcro strip to seal the bag. Velcro wears out — fibres degrade, grip weakens, and over time the seal can fail without any obvious sign, leaving a gap in the shielding you’re relying on.
GoDark bags use a roll-top closure instead, fastened with a sturdy strap. It’s the same principle used in dry bags for waterproof sealing, and it gives you an easy visual check. If it’s rolled and clipped, you know it’s sealed — no guessing whether the signal blocking is actually working.

Relay theft in the UK — what’s actually happening
This isn’t a fringe issue anymore.
According to BBC reporting, over 100,000 vehicles were stolen in a 12-month period, with a large proportion involving keyless entry systems.
In many cases, thieves are using relay devices to capture your key’s signal from inside your home — even when the key is nowhere near the car.
More recently, police warned of multiple cars stolen in minutes, with some thefts completed in under 30 seconds using handheld equipment.
The key point: if your car uses keyless entry, your key is constantly broadcasting a signal.
That signal can be captured, extended, and used to unlock and start your vehicle.
The simplest way to stop it:
Block the signal completely.
Put your keys in a Faraday bag when you’re not using them.
No signal = nothing to intercept.
